Lying alone lying with othersRespiratory awareness
The children lie in a circle on the ground, feet together. They close their eyes and look for the neighbors’ feet. Having found those after some potential shuffling and moving closer together, they look for each other’s hands and touch. Suddenly nobody wants to be found any more, and everybody pulls their arms close to their body. However, this is an uncomfortable position. Therefore, each child looks for his/her own arm position that seems comfortable without touching the neighbors. In this position, each child lifts one leg from the floor, followed by lifting the arm on the same side of the body. Finally, the child lifts arm and leg simultaneously and gently lowers them back down on the floor. |
